D Y S O N Y E A R I N R E V I E W • 2 0 1 8 – 2 0 1 9 4 Inside Dyson Representing Germany and Slovenia, the Model United Nations Pleasantville team received two of the highest awards—Distinguished Delegation and Honorable Mention—at the 2018 national conference. In the University's first-ever experience at the national Fiscal Challenge competition in Washington, DC, Pace economics students placed third out of 35 institutions. They shared the honor with the University of Chicago. The winning team was Stanford University, and the University of Notre Dame took second place. A leadership panel organized by the Master of Public Administration Student Association included William Ciaccio, Joseph Aremu '14, assistant director at New York–Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and Charles Fall '14, New York State assemblymember. In New York City at the 2019 national conference, New York City Model United Nations team member Kannon West '20, History/Political Science, spoke on the importance of education at the same podium used by heads of state to address the world.
