I've created a few colorful nostalgia-inspired drawings, colored with
markers, glitter pens, and color pencils. They are influenced by con-
temporary pop surrealists like Mark Ryden who uses nostalgic childhood
themes like baby-dolls and clowns. They use bright colors, collage,
clutter and busy backgrounds, leaving the eye to discover something
new and interesting.
The work reflects my passion for sustainability and vintage toys, clothing,
style and culture. The work is inspired by some personal vintage items of
mine like a 60s Barbie Doll Trunk Box, a 90s Technicolor knit sweater, and
thrifted room decor.
I enjoy the idea of incorporating and mixing objects, imagery, and styles
from different time periods to make something new. The works could be
displayed individually or as a group.
