Spirit Keep:
The Series
The Spirit Keep: The Series is an imitation animated show following
three, main characters: FAIRE, SEYA, and TRINITY. Each scene, as well
as character designs, holds the heart of fantasy and action. Animated
cartoons and the characters within them, from shows of my childhood-
to-adult-life, are the inspirations for Spirit Keep. As the character
designs serve as a "pitch idea" for a storyboard, the framed series of
anime-style scenes pay homage to film technique, creating the look
and feel of a TV series. Each scene is meant to capture a fantastical
world, through visual elements, such as point of focus, far shots, and
dramatic lighting. To capture this tone and visual aesthetic I used
MediBand Paint Pro's soft tools like paint and airbrushes, to add subtle,
yet realistic backgrounds, securing the look of a 2D object blending
into 3D space.
