My love for nature rivals my passion for new technologies. As our world
progresses towards the future, I try to challenge modern technology
to recreate nature in its most natural form. I feel with the ever-growing
advancements of technology, though beneficial in most areas, makes
us lose our connection with the outside. I made this landscape in the
game engine, Unreal, using 3D modelling programs like Blender to create
the trees. My landscapes have strong romantic lighting to highlight their
beauty and give a nod to the painters in the Hudson River School that
inspired me, like Bierstadt and Cole. The painting I recreated is El
Capitan, Yosemite Valley by Bierstadt. I want the viewer to feel like they
are flying through Bierstadt's landscape enhanced with some additional
elements that I created.
