Marisa assists PSAGV
in the collection of over
1,000 signatures on a petition
urging NY elected officials to
repeal the Dickey Amendment,
which effectively prevents the
Centers for Disease Control
from conducting gun
violence research.
Fall 2019
Marisa plays a crucial
role in PSAGV's 2019
campaign to push the
US Senate to hold a vote on
a bipartisan background
check bill that was passed
by the House of
Representatives.
Spring 2020
Marisa connects her
work with CCAR and
WLI by facilitating WLI's co-
sponsorship of CCAR's Democratic
Debate Watch Party. She works
with Emma Beach '23, a Vote
Everywhere Ambassador and
fellow member of WLI, to
run a mock election at
the event.
Spring 2020
Marisa further develops
her advocacy skills at the
Debating for Democracy: An
Activism Training with Beautiful
Trouble conference. She participates
in discussions and case studies,
building skills for leading
successful nonviolent
grassroots campaigns.
