Voter registration, education, and engagement is a staple of
the Center's work. With generous support from the Andrew
Goodman Foundation, Vote Everywhere ambassadors Erin
Wilson '20 and Emma Beach '23 registered more than 400
Pace voters on the NYC campus. In Pleasantville, CCAR interns
Jaida-Lee Colley '22 and Emily Ambrocio '22 collaborated with
the Office of Residential Life and Housing to register over 100
students before the fall 2019 local elections. On election day,
they organized the Center's annual Voter Van, which brings
Pleasantville students to the local polling place.
During the run-up to the 2020 presidential election, the CCAR
continued a tradition of hosting Debate Watch Parties, as well
as expanded its Pace Votes work to include enhanced social
media outreach and coalition-building across both campuses.
Pace Votes and Vote Everywhere
On her experience with the Voter Van:
"It took a matter of minutes for me to cast my
vote. I didn't realize how easy and rewarding it
was. I came out feeling great because it was the
first time I actively participated in elections."
—Emily Ambrocio '22
