CCAR: Annual Report 2019–2020 17 Jessica Magaldi, JD Associate Professor, Lubin School of Business Jessica Magaldi, JD, is an associate professor in the Legal Studies and Taxation Department of the Lubin School of Business on the New York City campus. She has volunteered at the New York City Small Claims Court, chaired a New York City Bar Association initiative working to bring mediation to low-income clients, and cofounded Grow Amsterdam NY, supporting community greenspace. Vanessa Merton, JD Associate Dean, Pace Law School Vanessa Merton, JD, served as Pace Law School's associate dean for Clinical Education for 15 years and established the Access to Health Care and Prosecution of Domestic Violence Clinics. The recipient of multiple awards, she is a founding member of the New York Immigrant Representation Group and currently directs the Immigration Justice Clinic, staffed by student attorneys. Denise Santiago, PhD Office of Multicultural Affairs Denise Santiago, PhD, is the director of Pace's Office of Multicultural Affairs on the New York City campus and an adjunct faculty member in the Sociology and Anthropology Department in the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences. Driven by her commitment to social justice, she was a leading force behind the creation of the Provisions food pantry and campus vegetable garden, and is also the founder and coordinator of Pace's partnership with the New Roots Community Farm. Joanne Singleton, PhD Professor, College of Health Professions Joanne Singleton, PhD, is a professor in the College of Health Professions on the New York City campus who is also a fellow and vice-chair for organizational membership in the New York Academy of Medicine and National Academies of Practice. Deeply engaged in studying the human-animal connection, Singleton created the Canines Assisting in Health program to educate interprofessional healthcare providers on assistance animals. Laurie Brown Kindred Pace School of Performing Arts Laurie Brown Kindred is a production manager at the Pace School of Performing Arts who has managed and created live entertainment and special events for more than twenty years. Currently a lead volunteer for a New York City community garden, she has also received a certificate of recognition from New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for her outstanding volunteer efforts. Anne Toomey, PhD Assistant Professor, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences Anne Toomey, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Environmental Studies and Science on Pace's New York City campus. Dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and social responsibility, she has designed and taught four Civic Engagement and Public Values courses, created Science for Environmental Professionals, and launched a website raising awareness on the impact of hydroelectric dams in Bolivia.
