Upon completion of the project and approval by the doctoral project adviser and consultant, the student makes a final presentation in the doctoral colloquium (PSY 835). Aer making the two presentations, completing the written project, and receiving approval from the adviser and consultant, students will have satisfied the doctoral project requirements in the school-clinical child psychology doctoral program. It is expected that the training experience will devote at least 30 percent of the time working with bilingual populations. • Additional Coursework (9 credits): Students in the Bilingual Specialization must additionally complete the following coursework: • PSY 703A Practicum: Limiting Bias in Bilingual Assessment (1 credit) • PSY 709A Practicum: Counseling the Culturally Different (1 credit) • PSY 741 Communication and Language and the Bilingual Child in the Classroom (1 credit) • PSY 745 Bilingual Language Development and Disorders (3 credits) Transfer credit Students may be allowed up to 45 credits for transfer credit for the PsyD program.
