The need for qualified public safety and security professionals is expanding at all levels. Pace can help you lead the charge. Pace University's MA in Management for Public Safety and Homeland Security Professionals prepares students to meet the challenges of a post-9/11 world and the increase in natural disasters. These challenges include preventing crime and terrorist attacks, protecting against human and natural hazards, and managing large-scale safety plans for both the public and private sectors. The program is designed for professionals who are already in the field and need to enhance their expertise, or career changers looking to leverage their management experience to enter an exciting and demanding profession. n Fast and flexible—The program can be completed in two years from the convenience of your home or office through online coursework. In addition, three one-day classroom sessions per year are required. These classes are held on Saturdays at Pace's Pleasantville Campus. n eveloped and taught by leaders in the field—Our faculty D members are at the forefront of the profession, with diverse backgrounds and experiences with a variety of organizations, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); state and local police, fire, and public health organizations; and corporate security firms. n Unique programming, unique partnerships—Pace is one of the select few universities to partner with the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security, giving students access to their curriculum, distance learning technology, Homeland Security Digital Library, and other resources.
