Dyson Student Athlete Makes
History, Brings Home Pace's
First Major Swimming Award
A native Californian, Kaitlyn Lynch '16
started swimming competitively at age seven in her
home town of Vallejo. This past year, the management
for public safety and homeland security graduate
student was named the Northeast-10 (NE-10)
Conference Female Swimmer of the Year, marking
the first major swimming and diving award in Pace's
Swimming and Diving program history.
Lynch won three gold medals at the NE-10 Championships in February and set a record in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.17
seconds. Lynch also medaled in three different relays earning a silver medal and two bronze medals, completing one of the top
individual seasons in the history of Pace's Swimming and Diving program.
Lynch was also named Winter Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award-winner by the NE-10 Conference coaches in recognition of her
excellence in the pool and the classroom.
Upon graduation, she will pursue a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The Society of Fellows
The Society of Fellows year of activities came to a close on
April 24 with the 2014 Annual Initiation Ceremony of the
2014 Joseph F. Ryan Class. The class was large and featured
38 new associate members and 19 new fellows.
The Society of Fellows of Dyson College of Arts and
Sciences is the premier honors organization in the college.
It fosters undergraduate scholarship in the arts and
sciences by providing enriching experiences for students
with outstanding academic ability.
