Dyson College of Arts and Sciences 28 Continued n The 2014 annual Dyson Day Conference took place on the Westchester Campus, hosted by Dyson College. The conference focused on the idea of "Lifelong Learning for Digital Natives: Skills Our Students Need for the 21st Century." Shelli Fowler, the senior director for Networked Pedagogies and Professional Development and associate professor of English at Virginia Tech, was the keynote speaker. n Pace's 2014 Earth Month included more than 30 events to raise environmental awareness during the month. n The third annual Pace-Wide Research Day took place and Dyson student-faculty pairs took top prizes. n The Actors Studio Drama School's six-week repertory season opened. Scenes from LeRoi Jones' Dutchman, Tennessee Williams' Vieux Carré, and José Rivera's Marisol, were among those presented. May 2014 n The Confucius Institute at Pace University celebrated its 5th anniversary. n Dyson Awards ceremonies took place on the New York City and Westchester campuses. n Green vs. Gold: Brazil's Race to Balance Its Sports-Fueled Tourism Boom, the most recent documentary produced by the media, communications, and visual arts travel documentary course, premiered on May 13 at the Willcox Gym on the Westchester Campus. June 2014 n The 2014 Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences Conference was co-sponsored by Pace Academy for Applied Environmental Studies. The conference theme was "Welcome to the Anthropocene: From Global Challenge to Planetary Stewardship," and Pace Academy Senior Fellow for Applied Environmental Studies Andrew Revkin was the keynote speaker.
