In 2013, the Department of Psychology opened a new chapter in Pace's history; it began offering the University's first Doctor of Philosophy degree: the PhD is in Mental Health Counseling, which is the first such degree in New York State. Pace's PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology is one of only 10 nationwide programs recognized as a combined professional-scientific doctoral program by the American Psychological Association (APA). Alumni There are 23,165 total living Dyson alumni. There are 16,391 total Dyson alumni living or working in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. There are 15,420 Dyson alumni living or working in the metropolitan area (Southern Connecticut, Northern New Jersey, Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, and north to Poughkeepsie). The total number of Dyson alumni living or working in New York State is 13,229. The total number of Dyson alumni living or working in New York City (five boroughs—Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island) is 6,197.
