Dyson College of Arts and Sciences
Paul Echandia
A beloved, retired colleague in Dyson College's Psychology Department on
the New York City Campus, passed away at age 91. Echandia devoted 60
years of his life to Pace. He is remembered as an outstanding mentor and
a wonderful colleague to many students, faculty, and staff.
John Mulgrew
Dyson Professor Emeritus of Fine Arts in Westchester, dedicated 45 years
to Pace, joining the faculty of Dyson College in 1967. He served as chair of
fine arts in Westchester from 1985 to 2000 and as University-wide chair
of fine arts (now the Art Department) from 2000 to 2005.
When he stepped down from serving as department chair, Mulgrew returned
to full-time teaching in drawing and ceramics and working on paintings and
ceramic sculptures until his retirement. He was a dedicated and devoted
artist and faculty member who was deeply committed to the arts at Pace.
Steve Nicholas
A program coordinator in The Actors Studio Drama School, was also
an alumnus of the program, having earned his Master of Fine Arts in
Playwriting in 2005. He was active for many years at the Actors Studio
itself in its playwrights and directors units, where many of his works in
progress were shown.
Nicholas is fondly remembered by all the faculty, students, and staff
who had the pleasure of working with him at Pace.
