Core Courses (18 credits)
Topics include Organization Theory and Management;
Economics of Government, Healthcare, and Nonprofit Sectors;
Research Methods for Public Administration; and more.
Individual Tracks
Government Track (12 credits)
Topics include Intergovernmental Relations, Law in the
Administrative Process, Policy Studies, and Government
Management.
Nonprofit Management Track (12 credits)
Topics include the History of Not-for-Profit Management, Law
for Not-for-Profit, and Financial Resource Development.
Healthcare Administration Track (12 credits)
Topics include the US Healthcare System, Health Policy
Studies, Hospital and Health Services Administration,
Healthcare Economics, Community Health Assessment,
Strategic Planning and Marketing, and more.
Electives and Track Specializations (9 credits)
Topics include Human Resources Management, Computer
Science and Information Systems, Planning and Evaluation,
and more.
Pace also offers three 15-credit certificate
programs for professionals seeking to enhance
their credentials in Not-for-Profit Management,
Healthcare Policy and Management, or Long Term
Care Management and Practice.
Each certificate can be completed in one year. All credits
count toward completion of the MPA degree. Courses are
conveniently offered in the evenings at the Westchester and
New York City campuses. All courses are offered in a hybrid
format and many are completely online.
