Show with Jon Stewart
Delaney Yeager '13, acting, won a 2015 Primetime Emmy Award
for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series on The Daily
Show with Jon Stewart. Yeager graduated from Pace School
of Performing Arts only three years ago and in that very short
time she achieved what television writers strive for their entire
careers—the coveted statuette and symbol of excellence
in television, and the chance to work on a television series
of remarkable cultural influence and importance.
She is the youngest writer hired—ever—in The Daily Show's
16-year history. Prior to writing for the wildly popular show,
Yeager was a staff writer for The Sundance Channel's
The Approval Matrix with Neal Brennan.
She continues to write, perform, and direct with Skootch
Comedy, a sketch team that is part of the Funny or Die
community. Most recently Yeager wrote and directed the play
Waiting for AAA, an all-female comedy inspired by Waiting
for Godot. It was performed at the New York International
Fringe Festival.
