8 Winning Diplomacy Diplomacy is much more than a smile, a handshake, and good manners. Pace's Model United Nations (MUN) teams, New York City and Pleasantville, proved once again this year that they have the skills to take them to the top. Each team was recognized for their excellence in diplomacy at the National MUN conferences held in New York City in March 2015. The Pleasantville team received a Distinguished Delegation award and six Outstanding Position Paper awards for their representation of Canada. The two New York City teams, one representing Albania and one representing Vanuatu, each received Honorable Mention delegation awards and received a total of five Outstanding Position Paper awards. Model UN is a forum where student teams discuss issues of real global concern while learning critical thinking, negotiation, and decision-making skills in the process. Approximately 2,500 undergraduates from around the world participated this year. The Right Stuff
