Admission
Admission to the MA program is competitive and open to qualified applicants who hold a bachelor's
degree from an accredited institution. Applicants are recommended (not required) to take the
GRE General Test. Admission is based on interest in the master's degree offering, undergraduate
transcript, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and potential for success.
The Curriculum
The MA in Psychology is a 36-credit program consisting of 18-credit hours of advanced-level
foundation courses in psychology and 18-credit hours of electives that allow you to focus
on a specific area in psychology. The educational goals are:
n Knowledge of theoretical and applied areas in psychology
n Development of conceptual and analytical skills
n Knowledge of interpersonal dynamics
