Many a Fulbright scholar have gone on to make significant contributions in the fields of the arts and sciences. Sylvia Plath was a Fulbright scholar to England where in 1955 she studied at Newnham College in Cambridge. The celebrated soprano Renee Fleming won a Fulbright, which to took her to Germany, where she studied voice. Peter Higgs, best known for the theoretical discovery of the Higgs boson particle or "God particle," was once a Fulbright scholar at the University of North Carolina. Selected for academic merit and leadership qualities, three students joined the ranks of this distinguished set. We can't wait to see what comes next for these Dyson College Fulbrighters! KYLA KORVNE '15 is a political science, and peace and justice studies major.
