And other awards... 2015–16 | 23 Exceptional faculty are the key to Dyson College's success. Here are a few of this year's awards and recognitions. Nigel Yarlett, director of the Haskins Laboratories and professor of chemistry, has received $251,128 in continued funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to advance research for the culture of Cryptosporidium parvum parasite. Professor George Picoulas and Professor Sid Ray were each honored with the Office of the Provost's 2016 Kenan Award for Teaching Excellence. Professors Martha Driver and Nancy Krucher were each recognized with the 2016 Faculty Excellence in Scholarship Award. Assistant Professors Lijun He and Jason Whitesel were selected as 2015-2016 Wilson Faculty Fellows by the Helene and Grant Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship. Professor Joseph Franco was awarded the 2016 Outstanding Counselor Educator Award by the New York Mental Health Counselors Association. Chair and Professor Jessica Lavariega Monforti received the American Political Science Association annual Adaljiza Sosa-Riddell Award for Exemplary Mentoring of Latino/a Junior Faculty in Political Science. Nancy Krucher (right), associate professor of biology, received $123,076 in continued funding from the National Institutes of Health for her work on the "Role of Phosphorylation in apoptosis of breast cancer cells in 3D models." Faculty Awards Marcy Kelly, professor and assistant chair of biology, was the faculty award honoree of the 2016 Spirit of Pace Award. Pictured here with Pace University President Stephen J.
