Purpose
The world of finance has become so increasingly
complex that investors, regulators, and even market
participants are unable to grasp the vast changes
taking place almost on a daily basis. The purpose
and goal of the books and articles are to research
and understand the developments taking place,
particularly from a legal and regulatory perspective.
• To understand attempts to regulate and compel
compliance with regulatory enactments.
• Disseminate the findings of how the Internet, by its
increasing complexity, affects the financial world
and corporate governance.
• Discuss shadow banking, which is as large as
traditional banking, that few persons are aware of
other than sophisticated investors and bankers.
• Current research and understand trend toward a
completely cashless and checkless society and the
attempts to regulate it as illustrated by bitcoin and
other cryptocurrencies.
