RQ1: To what extent does gender
representation influence the tenure and
promotion of public administration
academics?
RQ2: Why do we not get tenured at the
same rate?
Goals:
• Scholarly journals should develop strategic
pipelines that will improve the recruitment
and selection of women into editorial board
leadership positions.
• Research into identification of key factors
that influence research productivity
among women will contribute meaningfully
to mentoring and perhaps even how
tenure and promotion are evaluated.
