Nigel Yarlett, distinguished professor of Chemistry.
Kimberly Collica-Cox, associate professor of
Criminal Justice and Security, and Emily Bent,
assistant professor of Women's and Gender Studies,
were each recognized as Wilson Faculty Fellows.
e Office of the Provost's Kenan Award for Teaching
Excellence went to Ruis Woertendyke, associate
professor, Pace School of Performing Arts.
Bronze Jefferson Awards were awarded to Emily
Welty, assistant professor of Women's and Gender
Studies and Matthew Bolton, associate professor of
Political Science, and Tiffany Bermudez '16, alumna
and current Pace University staff member.

Michael Boyle '13 is an
evolutionary biologist working
on his PhD at the renowned
Max Planck Institute for
Evolutionary Anthropology
in Leipzig, Germany. In 2015
he joined the esteemed lab of
Svante Pääbo, who was the
first to sequence the complete
Neanderthal genome.
Boyle explores how the human
brain is special. What gives
humans the capacity to play
a violin, to solve algebra
equations or for the human
brain to understand itself ?
Boyle holds a BS in Biology
from Pace and a masters in
Evolutionary Biology from the
Erasmus Mundus program.
