2 In August 2016, the DIRT Collective spent one month in the Costa Rica Rainforest making art and doing science. The collective's exhibition at the Pace Fingesten Gallery was based on their experiences in the Macquenque Rainforest, where one finds some of the greatest biodiversity of nature in the world, and is also at risk due to climate change and unsustainable agricultural practices. Students pose in front of Storm King Mountain after seining for fish specimens on the shores of the Hudson River.
