Students who have completed the first three years of doctoral course work, and have completed 1,200 hours of distributed internship, including 750 hours in a school setting, are eligible to be recommended to the New York State Department of Education for Certification in School Psychology. Students must pass the Comprehensive Examination in order to proceed to further doctoral study. Students are permitted to take the Comprehensive Examination a maximum of two times.
