Campus Locations That Facilitate Engagement and Student Experience In New York City, where the campus is situated directly across from City Hall, faculty have deep ties to neighborhood organizations and agencies, such as the New York Climate Exchange, which will create a world-leading climate solutions center on Governors Island. The White Plains campus draws from the Public Administration (PA) depa ment's deep ties with Westchester County's civic leaders, providing a foundation for learning and connection for students, alumni, and faculty. These locations facilitate rich, cross-sectoral collaborations, enabling PA faculty and students to contribute directly to the policymaking processes that shape the communities we serve while benefiting the students' experiential learning. Hosting NECoPA's 15th Annual Conference Dyson's Public Administration depa ment hosted the 2024 No heast Conference on Public Administration (NECoPA), Building organizations that the research outcomes will impact as equal pa ners in the research process. Community-Based Research Projects Westchester County's Opioid Response and Overdose Prevention Initiative. MPA faculty and students are pa nering on Westchester County's Opioid Response and Overdose Prevention Initiative to develop and evaluate a comprehensive prevention curriculum that helps young people be er understand, navigate, and avoid harm from co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, while also helping the concerned adults in their lives be similarly informed so that they can effectively suppo them. Council of Family and Childcare Agencies. We will assess the financial health and condition of more than 100 member organizations that provide child welfare services that focus on foster care, adoption, family preservation, and juvenile justice services. The research and repo will help to shape policy decisions at both city and state levels. Westchester County Hispanic Community Needs Assessment.
