Former President of Pace College Edward Mortola (l), silent movie actress Lillian Gish, and Former Vice President of Pace George Knerr (r). In 1971, Pace College entered into a partnership with the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, an organization known as the "Cradle to the Stars" because of its membership roster, which included legends like Lillian Gish, Grace Kelly and Robert Redford. Pace College would award the degree of Associate in Arts to students who completed the American Academy of Dramatic Arts program. e partnership was instrumental in Pace obtaining University status. 2016–17 | 39
