How to Make It
in Hollywood
The Pace School of Performing Arts (PPA) kicked off the
inaugural PPA Los Angeles Intensive, a three-week immersion
experience for senior acting and commercial dance majors.
The Intensive provided students a road map for the Los
Angeles entertainment industry, a unique industry where
creativity, the camera, and business intertwine.
A roster of casting directors, executive producers, actors,
and talent agents answered questions about "the business."
What is the difference between an agent and a manager?
How do you create your "brand?" What happens after you
book a job? Students experienced mock callback sessions.
Guests lectured on the dos and don'ts of auditions and
shared strategies for preparing for last-minute auditions.
The Pace Los Angeles Intensive is part of PPA's ongoing
commitment to be the first in the United States dedicated
to bi-coastal training in the performing arts.
