Pace Takes Home Most Awards at Model UN Conference
T
he Pace Model UN team took home 12 awards at the 2012
National Model United Nations Conference in New York City—
more than any other participating university. Both the New
York City and Westchester delegations were recognized for their work.
"Pace University's approach to Model UN is geared toward experiential
education in practical global policymaking," says Matthew Bolton, PhD,
the team's faculty adviser. "As such, the highest priority is learning rather
than competition, education rather than awards. While I see awards as
recognition of our students' hard work, not the end goal in themselves,
the Pace delegations should be proud of what they achieved."
