Enriching Academics
Society of Fellows
T
he Society of Fellows fosters undergraduate scholarship in the arts
and sciences by providing enriching experiences for students with
outstanding academic ability. Participation and membership in the
Society of Fellows affords students an opportunity to develop their intellect
and display their talents in a variety of settings.
Each fall the Society hosts an extremely popular
off-site weekend retreat where students, faculty, and
alumni share in a lively debate on a chosen topic in
a casual setting. The topic for 2012 was "P(e)ace and
Justice: An Interdisciplinary Conversation."
In addition, the Society of Fellows has been a leader for more than
30 years in promoting undergraduate research. At the Society's
Annual Meeting held in early spring each year, students present
scholarly research and artistic projects; new members are also
recognized at that time. In addition, the official journal of the
Society, Transactions, was created for the purpose of publishing
work done by Pace University students under the sponsorship of
a fellow or member of the Pace faculty.
