Center for Community Action and Research
The Center for Community Action and Research (CCAR),
housed in Dyson College, encourages students and
University members to work with non-profit and
governmental organizations to address common
concerns in their communities through coursework,
internships, volunteer work, speaking opportunities,
co‑sponsored events, and research.
Pace is also one of 29 private institutions participating
in Project Pericles, a national initiative to promote
opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to
explore the nature of the rights and responsibilities of
citizenship. In addition, each year Pace hosts Alternative
Spring Break (pictured above), providing students with
a three-dimensional view of pressing social issues. For
the last several years, Alternative Spring Break has
focused on hunger and homelessness.
